Description:

Join Trinity Consultants in their discussion covering regulatory updates affecting facilities with operations in New York. The discussion will examine regulatory areas of high interest, potential headwinds on the horizon, and a refresher on critical 2024 reporting deadlines.

In the past year, New York has been very active in issuing new guidance to achieve its climate goals set by the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA). Policies such as The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and Air Permit Applications (DAR-21) and the proposed Permitting and Disadvantaged Communities (DEP-23-1) have been the tools implemented by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) to bring the state closer to its statewide reduction goals, with additional regulation expected in the near future. Trinity will discuss the intricacies of CLCPA, its related current and proposed policies, and Environmental Justice (EJ) and how these required considerations impact the submission process of air and other environmental permit applications in New York State.

Additionally, Trinity will discuss the various federal rulings that will impact New York operations in the near future, such as the proposed revisions to the Air Emissions Reporting Requirements (AERR), PFAS reduction goals, and Good Neighbor Federal Implementation Plan (FIP).
